At Scottish Parking we want to provide you with as much information as possible to make sure that you…
Whilst we have listed out what we have found to be the most commonly asked questions, if there is something you are unsure about, then please get in touch via our contact page.
1. Why should I pre-book?
Pre booking is the best way to GUARANTEE your parking space…and at the best prices. If you decide to turn up on the day without pre booking, not only is it quite probable that the car park will be full, especially during peak season, but the non pre book prices are considerably higher than the discounted airport car parking rates that we offer for booking early.

2. How far in advance should I book?
As soon as you know you travel dates then we would recommend that you book your airport car parking.
There are an increasing number of people flying from all airports in Scotland every year which means less spaces and a potential for increased prices, so it is best to book as early as possible.
Having said this, we work with many of the largest car parking companies in Scotland and so we are more likely to always have spaces and still be able to keep the price low…even if you have to book at the last minute.
3. Do you have transport to the Airport?
Shuttle busses run every 5-15 minutes.
Each car park has shuttle buses which are included within the price you are quoted for the car parking, on average these will run every five to fifteen minutes depending on the season or traffic at particular times of day.
4. How early should I get to the car park?
We recommend that you arrive between 30 and 40 minutes before your airline check-in desk opens. Whilst shuttle busses run every 5-15 minutes and we will always get you there quickly and safely, it’s best to leave plenty of time.
5. Are transfers to and from the airport included in the price?
Transfers to and from the airport are included in the price you pay for airport car parking.
6. What happens when I get to the car park?
On arrival at the car park you should check in at the reception office or “in car check-in booths”. Once you have checked in, the car park will inform you of the when the shuttle bus will arrive and the procedures for your return journey.
7. Why do you say a week is 8 days and a fortnight is 15 days?
Car Parking is charged per day whereas holiday companies charge per night, this means that if you are going away from one Saturday to the next, you will have been away for 7 nights, but this is 8 days.
8. Do we pay when we book?
In order for your booking to be confirmed, Scottish Parking, or its appointed agent must receive payment. For acceptable methods of payment please see our booking conditions.
9. How can I pay for parking?
We only accept credit/debit card bookings via this website. We cannot take payment at the car parks themselves for the special creates published on this web site.
10. Are the car parks secure and insured/who is liable for any damage?
The car parks recommended by Scottish Parking have secure perimeter fencing, with security cameras and are manned at all times. The full Terms and Conditions of Parking and Insurance are displayed at the reception at each site. Each of the car parks has accidental damage insurance for any incident caused by a member of staff.
11. How do I find my car park?
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to locate our car parks and get there quickly and safely. Please view the directions page of this website for further information.
12. What happens if I overstay or my flight is delayed?
Most non-automated car parks allow a grace period if your flight is delayed by a couple of hours. For those that operate with automated ticket machines we suggest you contact a member of staff before exiting the car park to avoid getting charged extra. If you are delayed a more substantial amount of time, you will be charged by the car park at their daily gate price.
We would recommend that you keep a receipt of any extra charges incurred and review your travel insurance for flight delays.
13. What is the 'gate price'?
This is the price that the car parks charge if you do not pre-book. Should you decide to turn up on the day without pre booking, not only is it quite probable that the car park will be full, especially during peak season, but the non pre book prices are considerably higher than the discounted airport car parking rates that we offer for booking early.
14. Will I be sent confirmation of my booking?
You will receive an email from Scottish Parking which will confirm your booking reference.
